Christ School senior Drew Johnson and Hendersonville junior Alex Williford reached the 1,000-yard mark in passing on Friday.
Johnson (1,097 yards) threw for 187 in a 56-6 rout of visiting Northside Christian. He is a second-year starter for the Greenies (3-1) who now has nearly 4,000 career yards.
Williford (1,020 yards) had 163 in Friday’s 40-17 home loss to Reynolds.This is Williford’s first season in charge of the offense for the Bearcats (3-2).
Western North Carolina’s leader in passing yardage remains Erwin senior Damien Ferguson (1,796 yards).
