7:46: Courtney Pearson gets a strikeout to end things.
7:40: Rockets are able to end the threat. But they are down to their final three outs.
7:38: Enka has runners on first and second base with two outs.
7:34: Brittany Fletcher makes a great catch out in center field to end the top of the sixth. Rockets are down to their last three outs.
7:32: Enka goes down in order here in the bottom of the fifth.
7:31: If this score holds up, it would be the 37th straight win for the Sugar Jets.
7:25: Rockets go down in order in the top of the fifth inning. Enka coming to bat.
7:18: End of the fourth inning.
7:17: RUN ENKA. RUN ENKA. Mariah Foxworth singles. That brings in a run and the Sugar Jets score a second run on a Rockets error.
7:16: RUN ENKA. Payton Trantham singles in a run.
7:15: Kloyee Anderson singles. Runners on first and second with two outs.
7:12: Rockets turn a 6-4-3 double play. Brittany Fletcher then reaches on an error by the Reynolds third baseman. Runner on first with two outs.
7:11: Reynolds strands another runner, four in the last two innings. We’re headed to the bottom of the fourth.
7:10: Josie Harris singles into center field with two outs. Runner on first with two outs for the Rockets here in the top of the fourth.
7:07: End of the third inning.
7:06: RUN ENKA. Courtney Pearson hits a comebacker to the mound, but after getting an out at second base, the Rockets throw the ball away trying to double up Pearson at first base. That allows Foxworth to come home.
7:03: Mariah Foxworth draws a one-out walk. Runner on first. And then a single by Addison Harris puts runners on the corners with one out.
6:59: Reynolds leaves the bases loaded.
6:58: Rockets load the bases after a single into shallow left field by Cami McLaughlin.
6:57: Couple fielding errors by the Rockets put runners on first and second with two outs.
6:55: Hannah Rhodes singles into the gap in left-center field for the Rockets’ first hit. But she is thrown out trying to take second base. Two outs, no runners on.
6:52: Great play by Cami McLaughlin, snagging a liner at shortstop to end the bottom of the second inning.
6:50: Single for Brittany Fletcher. Runners on first and second with two outs.
6:48: Fletcher draws a two-out walk. Her sister, Brittany, is now at bat.
6:47: Two up, two down for Enka here in the bottom of the second. Whitney Fletcher now at bat.
6:45: Rockets go down in order for the second consecutive inning.
6:44: Two quick outs for Reynolds here in the top of the second. No one on base.
6:39: Back-to-back singles by Mariah Foxworth and Addison Harris, but the Sugar Jets strand them. End of the first inning.
6:36: RUN ENKA. Alabama recruit Kloyee Anderson connects on the first pitch of the game and hits a low-flying home run that is just inside the foul pole in right field.
6:33: Reynolds goes three up-three down in the top of the first inning.
6:28: Not surprisingly, the pitchers tonight are Queens recruit Courtney Pearson (Enka) and Montreat recruit Josie Harris (Reynolds).
6:24: Starting lineups are taking place now. Reynolds is wearing green tops and green pants. Enka is outfitted in light-blue pants and white tops.
6:02: The JV game ran late (won by Enka, 14-6). Varsity game should begin closer to 6:30 than the original time of 6.
