Brevard senior Tanner Ellenberger passed for his 5,000th yard in last Friday’s 45-9 home win over East Henderson.
Ellenberger (1,150 yards and 20 touchdowns with five interceptions) now has 5,158 career yards and is a member of the 1,000-yard club for the third straight year. He was voted the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference’s preseason player of the year by its coaches as a junior and senior.
Ellenberger and the Blue Devils (5-2, 3-1) are home for Friday’s WNCAC game against West Henderson (3-4 1-2). Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. in Transvylania County.
