Asheville School sophomore Rachel Kuehn tied for second place at the AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational held Oct. 7-10 in North Plains, Ore.
Kuehn’s score for 72 holes at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club was 215 (74-73-68). She is from Asheville.
The tournament was sponsored by Nike Golf and the winnner, Erica Shepherd from Greenwood, Ind., shot 214.
Asheville School does not have a girls golf team. In fact, Kuehn is currently involved in a different sport for the Blues. She is the No. 1 singles player for the six-time defending Carolinas Athletic Association champions in girls tennis.
