Rice Signs with Berry College
Candler Rice made it official this afternoon as he signed a letter of intent to play college golf at NCAA Division III Berry College.
Rice chose Berry over numerous other schools, citing not only their academics but also their strong golf program.
“The quality of teaching, their commitment to learning, excellent facilities, and great coaching, excites me. I look forward to growing as a player and student at Berry”, said Rice.
Rice has earned numerous accolades, some of which are as follows: North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association 2A All-State golfer, CAA All-Conference member, and a Tar Heel Youth Golf Association All-State Team Member.
Coach Debbie Adams says this of Candler, “he’s a really hard worker and he has the right mindset to be successful as a college golfer”.
Rice, in addition to being a top notch student-athlete and golfer, is also a budding entrepreneur and has started his own clothing company.
