Asheville Christian Academy’s boys soccer team will go for back-to-back state championships on Saturday.

Asheville Christian Academy is going to get the proper chance to defend its NCISAA 2-A soccer championship from 2015.

Max Hill scored twice for the third-seeded Lions in Tuesday’s 3-1 state-semifinal win over No. 2 Fayetteville Academy.

ACA (16-4-2) had to hit the road for the game, but showed no ill effects from the long drive. The Lions were up 2-1 at halftime and got an insurance goal from Coleman Compton in the 55th minute. Will Sabo, Sam Perry and Max Gompers were responsible for the assists.

Ben Vanderkwaak made a half-dozen saves.

ACA advances to play top-seeded Coastal Christian (21-2-1) on Saturday. The game is scheduled for noon  at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point.
