Reynolds senior A.J. Logan has accepted a preferred walk-on spot with the Appalachian State football program.
Logan carried the ball 159 times for 1,062 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall for the Mountain Athletic Conference 3-A champion Rockets (11-2). He also made 23 receptions for 244 yards and two touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back was an All-MAC selection.
“This really worked out well for A.J.,” Reynolds coach Shane Laws said.
“(Appalachian State) is somewhere that he has always wanted to go. And they really wanted him, they just don’t have any more scholarships for running backs at the moment. They’re hoping he can go in there and earn one.”
