The Asheville High boys 3,200-meter relay placed 16th at the New Balance Nationals Indoor track meet Saturday in New York.
Asheville High’s Haven Honeycutt, Terry Young, Davis Turner and Noah Shore placed 16th in their event Saturday at the New Balance Indoors national meet in New York.
The boys 3,200-meter relay’s time (7 minutes, 58.32 seconds) is a indoor school record for the Cougars.
Honeycutt came in 14th in the boys freshman mile Sunday morning with a personal record of 4:36.92.
Asheville took a program-high six athletes to the national meet. It wraps up Sunday inside The Armory, which has a 200-meter banked track.
