West Henderson baseball players Ryan Anderson and Will Lindsey have been selected to the Baseball Factory Omaha National World Series scheduled for June 25-30 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The invitation-only event coincides with the College World Series in nearby Omaha, Neb. Players will take part in daily training and then have the opportunity to attend CWS games in the evening.
Lindsey is a junior infielder/pitcher who batted a team-high .528 for the Falcons (15-8) this past season. He had 10 RBIs, six stolen bases and a pair of doubles.
Anderson is a sophomore outfielder/pitcher. Anderson (8-2) was responsible for more than half the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference team’s wins this spring. He had a 2.98 earned-run average with 38 strikeouts and the most innings (58.2) by any West Henderson pitcher.
