7:48: Game over. Sugar Jets are the 3-A Western Regional champions with a mercy-rule win.
7:45: Two outs. Sugar Jets are one out away from a regional championship.
7:42: Katelyn McClure doubles for West Iredell. Runner on second with one out.
7:41: End of the threat. West Iredell coming up in the bottom of the fifth.
7:40: RUN ENKA. Addison Harris hits a double with two outs to score Crout. Sugar Jets have enough runs to trigger the mercy rule if they can hold West Iredell scoreless in the fifth.
7:38: Claire Crout walks. Runners on first with two outs.
7:34: RUN ENKA. Whitney Fletcher leads off the fifth inning with a home run. Got to be the best game the Sugar Jets have played this season so far.
7:29: Make that 11 and 12. Another 1-2-3 inning.
7:28: Pearson has not retired 10 straight West Iredell hitters. She is dialed in to say the least. Defense is swallowing up every ground ball.
7:27: Enka strands two runners. Headed to the bottom of the fourth.
7:24: Two outs and a runner on first.
7:23: Mariah Foxworth singles. Runner on first base with one out.
7:21: RUN ENKA. RUN ENKA. Addison Harris hits a two-run homer to left field. Sugar Jets out to a commanding lead.
7:18: One-out double by Claire Crout here in the top of the fourth.
7:16: Top of the order coming up here for Enka in the fourth. Kloyee Anderson leading off.
7:15: Three up, three down. End of the third inning
7:14: Courtney Pearson has retired eight consecutive batters after yielding a single to the first batter of the game. Two outs here in the bottom of the third.
7:13: That’s all the damage that Enka can do.
7:12: Good four-run rally continues.
7:11: RUN ENKA. Whitney Fletcher reaches on an infield single.
7:10: RUN ENKA. RUN ENKA. Courtney Pearson punches a two-run triple out into right field.
7:08: Runners on first and second with two outs.
7:05: RUN ENKA. Payton Trantham drives in a third run with an RBI single. Runners on first and second with one out.
7:02: Runners on the corners after Mariah Foxworth reaches on an error. One out.
7:00: Claire Crout singles to start off the third for Enka. Runner on first, no outs.
6:55: 1-2-3 inning for Enka in the bottom of the second. Sugar Jets are in good shape.
6:52: Payton Trantham (single) had the only base hit in that rally.
6:48: Sorry guys, really battling some connection issues down here. Enka took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a couple passed ball/wild pitches. Both runs came with two outs.
