Keri Burnside
Former Western Carolina University player Keri Burnside has been hired to coach the North Henderson softball team.
Burnside was a starting left fielder/second baseman for WCU in 2009.
She has since been a volunteer assistant coach for the Catamounts, prior to four years at Cullowhee Valley School and one with the Smoky Mountain junior-varsity team (that Mustangs squad went 17-2).
Burnside replaces Jessica McCarson, who had won 115 games as North Henderson’s coach since 2009. The Knights went 10-13 this past season.
