Christ School alum Champ Stuart has been promoted to the Double-A level for the first time in his professional baseball career.
Stuart, 23, is an outfielder in the New York Mets organization. He was 0-for-1 for Binghamton (N.Y.) in Thursday afternoon’s 5-2 home win over Hartford (Conn.).
Stuart is a 2010 Greenies graduate and later played for Brevard College. The Mets took him in the sixth round of the 2013 major league draft.
