West Henderson sophomore Aidan Simons has been named to the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association 15 and under championship’s all-tournament team.
More than 200 teams were part of the tournament held July 15-22 in Emerson, Ga.
Simons is a left-hander who pitched five innings for the Upstate Mavericks (S.C.). He allowed one earned run (for an ERA of 1.40) and a walk to go along with seven strikeouts.
