Pisgah senior Trey Morgan became the season’s second Western North Carolina receiver to surpass 1,000 yards on Friday.
Morgan (1,023 yards) made six receptions for 88 yards in the Black Bears’ 45-40 home win over Smoky Mountain. His quarterback is sophomore Tanner Wike.
Pisgah is 10-0 for the first time in a decade and has clinched at least a share of the WNC Athletic Conference championship with a 6-0 mark in the league. The Black Bears close out their regular season Friday at Brevard (8-2, 5-1).
Hendersonville junior Tykel Landrum leads all mountain receivers with 1,117 yards.
