Owen senior Anissa Avila has signed to play college softball for East Tennessee State.
Avila was an All-Western Highlands Conference outfielder for the Warlassies (15-6) last spring who batted .443 with five RBIs and 17 stolen bases. She had a fielding percentage of .905. Avila was named to the N.C. Softball Coaches Association’s all-district team.
