Reynolds seniors River Naisang (Mars Hill) and Urijah Morrison (N.C. Wesleyan) signed to play college soccer Thursday in front of a full house in their high school’s media center.
Naisang was an All-Mountain Athletic Conference forward for the Rockets (19-5-1) last fall with 11 goals and 11 assists, while Morrison was an All-MAC honorable mention defender.
Reynolds outscored its opponents, 83-31, and reached the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs.
Coach Patrick Gladys had kind words for both players prior to Thursday’s signing ceremony. The rest of the seniors for the 2015 Rockets were Parker Johnson, Patrick Johnston, Brian Kennedy, Daniel Vickers, Griffin Groh, Evan Neel and Carlos Villataro,
