
Cashiers resident Hunter Stanley has signed to play college football for Gardner-Webb.
Cashiers resident Hunter Stanley has accepted a preferred walk-on position with the Gardner-Webb football program.
Stanley is a 5-foot-6, 160-pound senior for Rabun Gap (Ga.), where he played cornerback and running back. Stanley made 122 tackles (an average of 10.2 per game) and one interception for the Eagles (7-5) last autumn.
On special teams, he had five kickoff returns for 114 yards.
Rabun Gap recently held a signing ceremony for Stanley.
