
Brevard beat Newton-Conover, 6-0, in Wednesday’s 2-A Western Regional championship match.
Brevard celebrated its third consecutive 2-A Western Regional championship in boys dual team tennis Wednesday afternoon.
And the Blue Devils did it in dominant fashion at home.
Singles players Joseph Schrader (No. 1), Liam Baer (No. 2), Cam Wilson (No. 3), Charles Kang (No. 4), Cullen Duval (No. 5) and Aiden Spradlin (No. 6) gave the Transylvania County team a clean sweep of Newton-Conover, 6-0, at Brevard College.
The Blue Devils (16-1) will go for their first state championship in school history on Saturday at the Burlington Tennis Center. Their match with the N.C. School of Science and Math (11-0) begins at 12:30 p.m.
