Enka softball will play for a state championship this weekend in Greensboro.
The Citizen-Times will provide live blogs from every game of the NCHSAA 3-A championship softball series which starts Friday at UNC Greensboro.
A best-of-three matchup between Enka (24-3) and C.B. Aycock (29-2) begins with Friday’s Game 1 at 8 p.m.
Game 2 is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday and Game 3 (if necessary) could be as early as 5 p.m. or as late as 8 depending on how the coinciding NCHSAA 2-A series at UNCG between South Granville and West Lincoln goes.
The Sugar Jets are gunning for their third-ever state championship in fast-pitch softball following reigns in 1996 and 2015.
