The Xcel Volleyball Performance 18X Select team won a USA Volleyball national championship on Friday in Indianapolis.
The Xcel roster is made up of Mary Catherine Ball (West Henderson), Destynee Galloway (West Henderson) Caroline Marsh (North Henderson), Sierra Jones (West Henderson), Alex Boone (Mountain Heritage), Ashley McBee (Brevard), Taylor Houck (West Henderson) Kasey West (West Henderson) and Emma Raleigh (Smoky Mountain).
The team’s was coached by Rick Moore, Robbie Lowrance and Kelly Risley.
Xcel went 11-1 in its matches and there were 63 other teams in the tournament.
