Robbinsville was last year’s NCHSAA 1-A football runner-up.
Friday’s Robbinsville Rumble jamboree should be a good sneak preview of this season in Smoky Mountain Conference football.
Four schools from the SMC will scrimmage one another starting at 6:30 p.m. — the host Black Knights, Andrews, Cherokee and Hayesville.
There will be barbecue plates for sale ($8) as well as snow cones and face-painting for children.
Robbinsville fans are invited to stay afterwards at Big Oaks Stadium and get player autographs. The Black Knights will be selling t-shirts.
