Tuscola’s Roman Jenkins, left, and Caleb Ferguson.
Lots of football season is left.
But it’s hard to imagine that Roman Jenkins and Tuscola can top Friday.
Jenkins set a single-game school record with 265 return yards and the Mountaineers doubled up visiting Patton, 68-34.
That points total ties another school record – Tuscola beat Enka by a 68-19 score in 1974.
Jenkins had kick returns of 93 and 95 yards. Fellow senior Caleb Ferguson scored five touchdowns for the Mountaineers (1-0) who are home again next week against Owen (1-0).
