The Black Bears clinched their first-ever conference championship with Thursday’s 7-2 Western North Carolina Athletic 2-A/3-A match at Smoky Mountain.
Singles winners for Pisgah (13-3, 13-0) were Maeanna Norris (No. 2), Allie Fisher (No. 3), Carli Styles (No. 4), Brooke Garland (No. 5) and Megan Rathbone (No. 6).
Fisher-Norris (No. 2) and Rathbone-Breanna Metcalf (No. 3) prevailed in doubles.
The NCHSAA dual team tennis playoffs are scheduled to begin Oct. 18.
